All proceeds go to the driver – guide. This is an all-inclusive price and caters for all expenditures incurred by the driver-guide, like meals and accommodation.
The Western Coastal route is a real 4x4 adventure, with sandy tracks, river crossings and bushland. Travelling from Tulear to Morondava is usually possible from May till mid-November. We allow roadtrippers to self-drive, but 4x4 driving experience is necessary. There are areas with limited to no phone reception. For less experienced and confident drivers, we recommend going with a ''pisteur''. He knows the region by heart and acts as navigator. He steps in at Tulear till Morondova ( or vice versa). It's 3 to 4 driving days, but we advise 5-6 days as the driving is intense and to have some free time to explore the surroundings. Roadtrip Madagascar arranges the pisteur.
