Car rental for self drive

Roadtrip Africa is the first company in Kenya to specialize in car rentals for self-drive holidays. No jam-packed and boring group itineraries from one safari park to the next. We believe that exploring Kenya at your own pace is the most rewarding.

What do you need when you hire a car in Kenya? A sturdy 4x4 vehicle to handle the roads and a reliable service in case anything goes wrong.

Our fleet consists of the Toyota Landcruiser with pop-up roof. We own all our rental cars and never subcontract from third parties.

Car rental with driver-guide

Of course, it's also possible to hire a car with a safari guide and many of our clients do so.

We work with a number of experienced and truly lovable driver-guides who speak good English as well as fluent Swahili. This option is great for roadtrippers who don't fancy driving themselves, want a more relaxed experience, or want to learn more about the local culture and wildlife in Kenya.

The driver-guide is there to facilitate and ease your travels, yet you remain in charge of your own holiday and itinerary. The costs for a driver are € 40 /day.
