Ivato & Antananarivo
We advise you to start (and end) your roadtrip in Ivato - just a few minutes from the international airport and our local office.
We don’t recommend picking up or dropping off the car in Antananarivo and to drive through the city yourself. The capital is busy, chaotic, and tricky to navigate. Think: no street names, limited signage, endless one-ways, and heavy traffic. Not the best way to start your trip.
Want to explore Antananarivo? No problem. Base yourself in Ivato and take a taxi into Antananarivo for the day. Or spend a night in the city and return by taxi the next day.
Good to know: We don’t offer car deliveries or returns in Antananarivo itself, only in Ivato.
Where to stay in Ivato
Ivato is where Madagascar's international airport is located. The city has a good range of hotels and guesthouses nearby. We can deliver your car straight to your hotel (€10) and do the handover on-site, so you can hit the road without stress.
Tip: Got a late flight home? Savanna Café is a great spot for a relaxed dinner and a final drink before heading to the airport.
