Entry requirements for Kenya

Are you travelling to Kenya soon? Find out what the current entry requirements are, and start your trip prepared!

How to arrange your online Kenya entry authorisation

Although applying for a visa is no longer a requirement, you still need to fill out an Electronic Travel Authorisation. This is the non-visa application for all travellers to Kenya.

Go to: https://www.etakenya.go.ke/en and follow the steps. We recommend applying at least 10-15 days in advance due to slower processing times. Travellers can submit their applications up to 3 months prior to travel.

When filling out the form, you are asked to upload your proposed itinerary or hotel booking. It does not matter if you don't have your itinerary finalised yet. Just upload any document. We've experienced that clients who do not upload a booking confirmation of their first night, or an invoice or document describing their itinerary, experienced delays in their visa approval or denial. When your request is denied, you should try it again.

What are the required vaccinations for Kenya

A Yellow Fever vaccination card is only required for persons travelling to Kenya from the age of 1 year and above when coming from a country with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission. This does not apply to travellers who have been in transit. Find the list of countries with a risk of virus transmission here. A yellow fever vaccine provides lifelong protection.
