Which car to hire for your road trip in Madagascar?
Conquer the wilderness. With our Nissan Navara, you can go anywhere and explore the country independently. The Navara has increased ground clearance, big 17-inch wheels, A/C, and a canopy on the back for easy access to camping equipment and luggage.

- Year of Manufacture: 2022 - 2024.
- Capacity: Two front seats and the back row is suitable for two adults or three (young) children if you don’t mind one person sitting in the middle. The vehicle can accommodate four adults with camp gear and luggage when camping.
- Gearbox: Manual.
- Engine: 2.5.
- Tank capacity: 78 Litre.
- Fuel: Diesel.
- Fuel consumption: 11 km/L on tarmac roads and up to 14 km/L off-road.
- Increased suspension: Yes. 17-inch wheels.
- 4Wheel Drive: Including traction control. How to engage the 4WD is explained in our practical information manual supplied with the car.
- Spare tyres: 1.
- Tyre pressure: Depending on the number of people and load, 2.5 PSI in the front and 2.5 PSI in the back. You don’t need to do anything further with this. The tyre pressure comes well-adjusted.
The interior and tools
- Pop-up roof: No.
- Inverter: No.
- Dual battery (for fridge): yes.
- Water tank: No.
- A/C: Yes. Please note that we don’t do field repairs or send a replacement vehicle in the rare case there are problems with the A/C. Wiring and piping are sensitive and suffer from bumpy roads and dust. The knowledge and equipment to repair A/C's are sadly not available in the field.
- Audio: Radio with small speakers, USB, and audio port. Bring your own audio cable (mini jack) to play music from your phone.
- Booth/canopy: Accessible from three sides, with inside light. The canopy has adequate space. We advise packing your luggage in soft duffle bags as they pack easier than suitcases. If your travel group is five (two adults & three young children), we advise packing light to fit your luggage comfortably.
- Rooftop tent: This vehicle can support one rooftop tent.
- Tools: Wheel spanner, spade, jumper cables, two fuel jerrycans, high lift jack and small jack
